Professor Xiaohong,Wang

Xiaohong Wang, an associate professor, got a bachelor degree and a master degree in Shanxi University (1985) and Shanxi Agricultural University (1988) respectively. From August 1988 to August 1998, Wang was a teacher in Shanxi Educational College (Biology department) and was sent to London University as a visitor (from Nov. 1992 to Nov. 1994). In November 1997, Wang was promoted as an associate professor. Wang entered Nankai University (Institute of Polymer Chemistry) in September 1998 and got a doctor degree in June 2001. During this period, her major was bone repair materials with the addition of chitin derivatives. Wang worked as a post-doctoral scientist in Tsinghua University (Department of Materials Science & Engineering) from November 2001 to November 2003. The major research areas are bone repair materials, liver (lung) tissue engineering, vascular stents and tooth repair membranes. Wang has taken part in or charged of two National Science Foundations of China: 50272035 or 30440043 and a Post-doctor Foundation. More than 42 papers of her have been published in Science Citation Index (SCI) listed journals and she has applied more than 20 national patents.
